Reading Review

This week I have reading My Sister's Keeper. I really like this book. I am at the point in the book where it is talking about her sueing her parents. I am very curious to see how this ends up because if it is different than the movie I wonder if this will be different. I thought about if I were her parents what would I do and I really have no idea becuase I can see where she is coming from. This would be a very difficult situation to deal with. I read 30 min for 3 nights this week.

Reading Review

This week I have continued reading the same books as last week. My Sister's Keeper is getting to the point where I am really getting into the book and do not want to put it down. It is going back into time when they first found out about Kate's disease. The non-fiction book that I am reading is going well but is taking alot longer to read. I am at the point in the book where the mother and son are at the fiesta dancing and she promises him he will fall in love soon. This one is a little harder to get through but I was expecting that.

Reading Review

I started two new books. The non-fiction one that you gave me I started reading and realized I had no idea what was going on. I decided to restart the book and am now taking notes on the book. I write the characters names, where they come from, and how they relate to eachother and any other information I want to write down. This seems to be helping me track the book a little better. I also started my sisters keeper. This book is good! So far it is just like the movie but I can't wait to find out how it ends!
I read about 30 minutes a night, rotating back and forth from book to book

Reading Review

This week I have been reading strickly for the ppst study book. boring...haha I have found it to helpful if I read the questions that I am looking for before I read the passage. By doing this I am able to scan back through what I have read and find the answer I am looking for. I can say I am SOOO ready to start reading for fun again! I feel like I am improving on the test taking skills. I am going to continue reading from the PPST book until I pass but I super ready to read for fun again!!

reading review

This week I have mainly been reading to study for the PPST. I have read some from the social studies book that I was given and some from the actual PPST study book. I have found the social studies book to be harder for me to read because it is hard for me to focus being that it does not interest me. As far as the PPST study book, I have improved a little on taking the tests. I try to take about half a test at a time. I have also still been trying to read for fun when I have time. This week I have not gotten very far in that because I have been focusing mainly on the studying. This week I have probably gone well over 90 minutes of reading reading for about 30 minutes a night.

Reading Review

I started a new book this week, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. So far I really enjoy this book. I like how the book starts out with them moving because it makes the reader want to keep reading to find out why and where they are moving to. I am to the point where the brother and sister find the window in his bedroom and are trying to figure out what all the people in the window are doing. They have some ideas but they finally notice that all of the people outside the window are wearing the exact same outfits. I am interested in finding out what the rest of the book is about.

reading review

I did not start a new book this week. I have been reading alot for the PPST. I have been practicing the short and long stories. For these stories I have to read a passage and answer so many questions about it. I feel the more I read the better I get at answering these questions. I have practiced these for about 3o minutes a night over 3 different nights.My problem seems to be comprehending things, so I feel that reading books helps me imporve with this. I plan to start a new book next week I just have not gotten it yet.
